Pioneer Day Parade

I took my kids to the Pioneer Day parade in Aberdeen.  Marshall went to a wedding for a co-worker in Gransville, ID so I braved it out with all the kids by myself.  The kids loved the parade.  Other than being an hour early (I thought it started at 10 so we got there about 9:45, but it actually was suppose to start at 10:30 and It started late at 10:45) it was great.  We got really good seats in the shade since no one else was there an hour early, haha!  I told myself maybe I need to think things start a half an hour early more often so I can actually be on time more.  The kids got TONS of candy.  We sat with my friend Andrea and her sister in law, who has triplet boys that are Tys age.
My girls were all about getting lots of candy!  I don't know if they even watched the floats because they were just picking up candy the whole time 😀
Ty got a handful of candy at the very beginning of the parade and then he was content to just sit and eat what he had.
Willow was a trooper, as always and just enjoyed the parade from her stroller.
There were a bunch of festivities in the park after the parade but I was a bad mom and didn't tell my kids about any of the other stuff because I knew they would want to go and I didn't want to be chasing 4 kids all day by myself.  So we went home and had a relaxing day at the house.  I did take them down to the reservoir for a few hours.  It was so much better than a crowded park of people.  I swear I'm turning into a hermit!  I guess 4 kids will do that to you.
I'll take being a hermit for these adorable kids. I love them all so much!!!

Foster Family Reunion

We just went to the 2015 Foster Family Reunion.  It was held at Marshall's aunt Laurie and Uncle Boyd's home in Swan Valley, ID.  They have a beautiful home.  The kids and adults had a great time slip and sliding into their pond.
My kids also especially loved the trampoline in the pond.
And by kids I mean Marshall too.
Ty mostly enjoyed throwing rocks into the stream
He also didn't stray too far from the snack table.
Willow and Grandma enjoying watching the swimmers.
Marshall's Aunt Sharol, Uncle Boyd, Aunt Laurie, and mom (holding Willow).

We didn't get to stay and camp over night with everyone, but we got to enjoy visiting with everyone for a few hours and some great food!  Marshall has some really great people in his Family.  We really enjoyed the reunion.

Tball

Eden just finished her first season of playing Tball.  She loves it.  I think she only hit the ball without the T twice but she had fun anyways. She got to play on the same team as her friend Ali. Eden and Ali were famous for doing cartwheels while running the bases.  Her coaches were Hailey Lusk and Andrea Clinger.  She has already told me that she wants to play again next year.

Eden's Birthday

Eden turned 6!  She is getting ready to start the first grade.  Despite being one of the youngest kids in her grade, she does very well in school.  At the end of kindergarten she was well above the benchmark in all categories.  Eden is a smart girl.  She is also very funny.  She is making us laugh all the time.  Eden is still my best eater.  She isn't picky and she will try almost anything.  She loves gymnastics.  She also likes sports& dancing. Almost everything Eden tries, she loves.  My challenge with Eden is limiting the activities she is involved in because she wants to do everything. She is determined and really tries her best at all she does.  Eden still gets hangry (super angry when she is hungry).  Eden is tall for her age.  We measured her when she was 2.5 years old and doubled it.  If this theory is correct, she will grow to be 5'10".  Eden loves fashion.  She is picky about what she wears.  She says what she wears has to be cute.  Her cute and my cute sometimes aren't the same.  I will pick her out something to wear but sometimes she won't wear it because it's "not cute enough." She loves getting new clothes.  She mostly gets hand me downs from Addison so when she does get something new she is so excited! Eden's favorite thing to play is American Girl dolls.  She likes to change their clothes and dress them up. She also loves board games.  Her favorite board game right now is probably headbands. Here is Eden's birthday questionnaire:
This year Eden looked through some pictures of birthday cakes online and this is the cake she chose to have me make her.
Eden woke up bright and early the morning of her birthday.  She was excited to open her presents.
She got a baseball bat, hot stamps (glitter stamps that she can stamp in her hair.  She sees them on TV commercials and has wanted them for a long time), a barbie rupunzel movie, a game called sorry, a piggy bank, and some money to spend at the Mall of America when we go  in August. Grandma Marilyn also gave her spending money for our trip, and my parents gave her a new shirt and a neat paint set. Marshall bought her an iPod (used but new to her) while he was in Boise.  He got it so she can download games to play for our airplane ride when we go to North Dakota.  That was probably her favorite gift.
Last year Eden had a friend birthday party, so this year was a family party year.  However, Marshall was out of town all week and I didn't want to take all the kids somewhere by myself so it turned out to be half and half party.  She invited her friend Ali over.  Eden, Ali, Addison and I  went to outer limits and dinner.  I got a babysitter for Ty and Willow.
Ali and Eden had a blast at outer limits.
Addy spent most of her time playing the deal or no deal game.
We made a quick trip to the dollar store (my kids favorite store) before heading to dinner. The girls found some fun treasures there too.
Eden chose to eat dinner at Panda Express.  There happened to be a ballon guy working there so the girls got all sorts of cool balloons!
After dinner, we came home and had cake and icecream with Ty.
Eden had great day.  I was exhausted when the day was over. 😀 I missed having Marshall with us but it was still a great day to celebrate Eden.  We are so happy she is in our family!

4th of July

This year for the Fourth of July we went to an annual morning 4th of July breakfast at our church.  Then, we had a pretty low key afternoon.  The girls really wanted to go watch fireworks.  We knew Ty couldn't last all night without a nap so we hung out at home so Ty could nap.  The best part was ALL the kids napped (a rare occurrence at our house). That evening, We went to a BBQ at our friends, the Grigg's house.  After the BBQ, we went to watch fireworks in Poctello.  It was a great time.  Addison kept asking when the fireworks were going to be over.  I asked "why aren't you having fun?"  And she said "yes I am. I just don't want it to be over."  She loved being with her friends, staying up late, and watching fireworks.  We love our country and are so grateful to have been born and raised the USA!
