Family Fun Weekend

Marshall's family came to AF for the weekend.  It's funny how excited the kids get to see each other.  They only live in rigby so we see them quite often, but they just love to get together.  We met in Pocatello and went to see 'Inside Out'.  It was a cute movie (well Marshall might beg to differ) but the rest of us liked it 😉.  I'm pretty sure Grandma Marilyn cried a couple times, but that isn't unusual.  She can tear up pretty easy, we like to tease her about it.

The Young's brought some fireworks which was a lot of fun.  Ty got a little scared of the loud booms and whistles.  So he stayed close to me.
Willow didn't seem to mind the loud noises.

The older kids loved it all!

Saturday we spent all day at the resavoir playing and relaxing. We love that the reservoir is so close to our house. We can walk or ride the four wheeler down to it and buzz back home in a couple minutes if we need anything.
Ty enjoyed his mud bath
We Burried the kids in the sand.  Their legs were stuck so they couldn't move. We thought about leaving them there and coming back for them later 😉
We did a little fishing
A lot of sun bathing

Except Willow, she had to stay in the shade 😀

We love summer! And Family!

Fathers Day Weekend Camping

Father's Day weekend we went camping with our friends, the Cox's.  Our kids really get along great which made it nice. We camped at Houtz Canyon, near Rockland.
Look at all those cute girls!  Ty was outnumbered 6:1. He had to do some dad bonding.  We had a great time.  We did a little hiking and the kids did a wilderness scavenger hunt.
Of course we had to make smores.  Camping isn't camping without smores. We had the traditional smores, then smores on fudge striped cookies, coconut marshmallows, starburst, reeses peanut butter smores, and we had to throw in some hot chocolate too.... I think we over did it on the campfire treats, but the kids weren't complaining!
A square marshmallow, a coconut marshmallow, and a starburst... YUM!
When it got dark the kids had fun with glow sticks.  We told a few scary campfire stories.  Marshall tried to convince the kids Big foot is real 😜

My family slept in this old school pop up camper Marshall bought.  I must say it was better than a tent. It was actually quite cozy.
One day we rode four wheelers to the sublette resourvoir.  The kids loved playing in the water.
Marshall and Chad tried to do a little fishing but they had no luck.
We did watch a couple guys in a canoe catch one.  This is them cheering.  We were all cheering for them too.
Willow spent most of the day sleeping in the shade.
Sophia loved holding Willow.  She was good at it too.
We had a really fun time.  Camping is so much fun but a lot of work.  I was exhausted afterwards.  It made for some good memories though!
