Church Ball

I just finished another season of church volleyball. Our stake includes 4 American Falls wards, Rockland, Lakeview, and 2 Aberdeen wards. Our team took third. We lost our semi finals game in the third match 14 to 15 (the first team to 15 wins if there is a third match) It was so close. We have such a fun team. We were always laughing about something. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Puzzles

I have posted before about Eden loving puzzles, but this morning she was on a roll. She did all of these puzzles. One of them is a book of 6 jigsaw puzzles. Some of the puzzles she would put together, take apart, and then put them back together! She just loves them!

Daddy daughter date night

Tonight Marshall took the girls on a date. Marshall told them a while back that he wanted to take them on a date every month. Well they haven't forgotten about it. In fact, they have reminded him of it quite often. So tonight was their first date. They went to a play at the little theater in AF. One of their favorite babysitters, Kimberly, is in the play. The girls were so excited! I'm not gonna lie, I was to. It was nice to have some mommy/baby time with Ty. . . And alone time (Ty went to bed about a half hour after they left). I hope this becomes a monthly tradition! :)

Addison wanted to get all dressed up! She asked me to 3 barrel curl her hair and she wanted to wear something fancy :). Eden, on the other hand, couldn't be talked out of her sweat pants. And when I told her we needed to do her hair because we hadn't combed it since the day before she said, "why? It already looks good!" I finally talked her into letting me do it! What different personalities these two girls have!

Eden's show and tell

Today Eden had show and tell at preschool. Before we left the house, she was looking in her room for something to take. First she found a big puzzle, then decides not to take it because she couldn't fit it in her backpack. She went back in her room to find something different. Meanwhile I was loading the car. In the car, on the way to school I asked her what she decided to bring to show her class. She had a funny smirk on her face and said "nothing." I said "what did you bring?" She said "ok I'll show you." She then reaches inside her backpack and shows me the legs off one of her Polly Pocket dolls. I said, "we'll did you bring the rest of her?" And she said "No, just her legs." I didn't believe her so I looked in her backpack. She wasn't teasing, she only brought the dolls legs for show and tell! I was laughing. I for-warned her teachers when I dropped her off. When I picked her up I asked the teacher what Eden had said during her show and tell. The teacher told me that Eden showed the doll's legs and said, "that's all I wanted to bring of my doll." Seriously, only Eden would be so random :). She never fails to make us laugh.

Eden's "pretend" birthday

It was Eden's turn to celebrate her "birthday" at preschool. Since she has a summer birthday she was assigned a day to celebrate. She was pretty excited to take cupcakes to her class and be sung to. She wanted yellow cupcakes and white frosting with sprinkles. Her preschool teachers let the kids pick a toy on their birthday. She picked a princess toy cell phone.

New chickens

Since our dog ate our last two chickens, Marshall bought four replacements. This time Marshall built them a proper place to live, dog proof. They started to lay eggs, one each chicken/ day. They lay nice large brown eggs. The girls like checking for the eggs, and I like cooking with them. So we are all happy.

April fools Day

April fools day I tricked the kids by telling them we were moving and we had to sell our house (its the best I could come up with).
After I told the kids "April fools" the jokes kept coming and coming.
These are a few of the funniest ones the girls came up with:

Addy:
"Mom, I accidentally ripped up your contacts"
"Dad, the cows got out and came inside the house"
"Dad, you left the hose running"

Eden:
"Addy fell off the couch and broke her leg"
"All of our Easter presents blew out the window"
"Ty just walked"

Funny girls, they kept me smiling all day!

Ty- 6 months old

Ty is 6 months old ALREADY! He has a lot of nicknames like Tyrone, Tyroney-baloney, Ty man, Ty-Ty.
At his 6 month check up he was very healthy. His percentiles were:

Height: 27 (68%)
Weight: 18 lbs (58%)
Head circumference: 45.7 cm (92%)

When he got his shots he literally cried for 10 seconds during the pokes, but as soon as I picked him up and hugged him he stopped crying and smiled like nothing had happened.
Some of the things he is doing at 6 months are:
•Rolling EVERYWHERE! I will put him in the middle of the living room and he will end up in the kitchen in no time.
•He is always sucking on his fingers, usually 2 or 3 at a time.
•He loves electronic things like cell phones, tv remote controls, iPads, regular phones, etc. if he sees my cell phone, his arms and legs start moving and he lunges forward for it. If he has it and I take it away he gets real mad! Maybe he will grow up to do something with electronics :).
•He loves all flavors of baby food except green beans and peas.
•He sits up pretty well, but is still a little tipsy.
•He is busy. Always moving, grabbing, SCRATCHING, arching his back, wanting something he sees. I have a feeling he might give me a run for my money when he starts to crawl.
•He wakes up several times in the night wanting to eat. Little piggy. He needs to give his mama a little brake at night. Good thing he is cute :)
We love our little Ty man!
