On the farm

The other night Marshall said he wanted to teach the kids how to work so we all went outside and helped him put up electric fence in our pasture. I think the kids did a lot more playing than working, but it was good for them to feel "helpful." Right now our "farm" animals consist of 2 cows, six calves, a dog, and a goat. Marshall surprised us with 2 chickens the other day. The girls were so excited. They laid 2 eggs. The next day our dog ate them (the chickens). Sad! Our dog eats mice and gofers, but I didn't think she would eat chickens. We thought wrong. I think we will stick to large animals from now on.
Eden can't quite get her hat on right :)
There we go.

  1. Wow, you guys are getting quite the little farm going! Looks like your kids had fun "working" on the farm ;) I am sure they will always cherish the memories of working on the farm! How fun :)

    And P.S.
    Your kids are ridiculously cute!!!

  3. I love Eden's face in the 4th picture from the bottom! Too funny! That's so sad about your chickens. I would never have thought dogs would do that!
